I've been watching this thread since its start and I've noticed something interesting. Many if not most H.A.M.B. members can't stand import cars> But I've noticed that many of the members don't have a problem using their colors! Please keep in mind that I'm not trying to start any crap here. This is just something that I noticed.
91 Geo Metro "Competition Blue" (See avatar) painted in lacquer in '93. I thought it was funny as hell using the word "competition" anything associated with a Geo...
Buick59. I have had it done for 2 weeks now. So far so good. It has rained on it a few times, I have been leaning all over it while working on it, and got nice and sauced up and did donuts in a gravel lot last weekend, haha (did not leave the gravel lot, I dont condone drunk driving). It took about 2 days in direct sunlight to be dry to the touch, and absolutely hard after about 5 days. I have sanded it yet, not sure if im going to. Its just temporary untill I move into my new house that has a garage so I can start on the real bodywork. In my opinion, I have shot cars with base and clear, spray paint, roller jobs, single stage, and now rustoleum. This is hands down the best bang for your buck unless you are a body man and have paint, supplies, and a shop at your disposal. I shot it in my grass backyard.
Holy S***T!! A SAAB Gasser! I never liked Saab’s, but this is a truly cool looking car. Never seen anything like this in Sweden, I like it. Lars
Personally I love this car with the halibrands, I have since it was featured in american rodder in the 80's. Steels look good too though, have a set of each.
This is one of KIRKS pics. This color make me feel a way that is hard to describe. Sure would like to find that paint code. http://goodguysimages.com/KIRK%21/PNWN10/GNWN084.jpg
