Blue Dot Tailites???????

I've run them for the last 10 years on my 35 Ford coupe and have never been pulled over even through they aren't legal (live in VA and run vintage tags). To me they look bright purple at night (I like the look). I would agree that some people don't see them well as I notice people coming up on me fast when I'm making a turn (with the turn signal on)......perhaps I should go back to solid red for safety sake.
