I unearthed this today digging a post hole. Any ideas on what it fits? seems to be in perfect condition.
Looks like the lens off those "pimp" lights we used to put inside our cars back in the fifties. But those lens were held in with a big circular clip (ring). I still have a pair.
The tops off telephone wire insulators, came in blus, green and clear. Were used as target practice by every bored country boy in the nation.
it looks to me like a lens for a small bullet light like would go on the back of a full dresser. they still make them as i bought a bunch of them for my bike to us as extra brake lites. i know they are available in red , amber , green , and blue and probably other colors also. mike
H-D exsesary light or bulit light, there's probly a H-D or an Indian down in that hole!!!!!!....Roach.
Like noisy said it is an insulator, either for a telephone or power line. The wood crossbars had wood standoffs that were threaded on top and the insulator threaded onto the standoff. Some were translucent, some were opaque.
Shoot chopped30 a PM... He has molds from a bunch of early lenses and has alot of 'em manufactured. He will likely know, or can point you in the right direction. S***ch
