Hi everyone, new member of the hamb. I'm in search of the whereabouts of my grandfather's (Don Kober) 1949 Buick the "Blue Illusion". My grandfather bought it for $200 and had it customized by Merlyn Berg in the early 90s. The car was in show condition by 1995 and was featured in Rod & Custom and Motortrend. It has a '51 Buick grille, '54 Merc taillights and is powered by a fully chromed 350. My grandfather sold it sometime around 2000. I saw that it sold at an auction in Ohio in 2012 but that's the latest information I could find on it.
