That Moto Guzzi is gorgeous but the fairing looked a bit awkward around the handlebars.

 

Alright, Saturday morning we arrived at the fairgrounds about 5:30 a.m, long before the sun came up; and the line to get in was already all the way out to Fairplex Dr. Soon they let us move into the lanes leading to the gates, but we stopped there and waited some more. Hurry up and wait. Everybody was out of their cars, walking around and talking, but not getting too far away from the car. When they finally opened the gates and let us in the sun was just coming up. But from there that just directed us to the staging lanes, splitting us up by who prepaid (get in first) or paid at the gate; where in the fairgrounds you wanted to go (we were headed back up to the Suede Palace); and car clubs staged up seperately and they got preferential parking. So here we are lined up in the staging lanes, waiting for our turn to be let in.

I rolled in with Mike in the 31 Chevy pickup ahead of me, and Kurt in the 28 Tudor behind me.

 

Once we were let in we headed right to where I was parked on Friday, only to find another car had taken the parking spot I had, he must've parked it there last night after I left and left it over night. No problem, I'll just spin around and back it in on the other side of the door. That's just as good. Primo parking! (I may be the only one who remembers when "primo" was popular lingo, kind of an early 70's version of "bitchin")


The gates for the public wouldn't be opened for another hour or so, so it was time to get some photos before the crowd moved in. View attachment 5652046

OK, I wasn't done posting photos, and I didn't bail here, I was just busy this weekend playing music and a busy day today. Finally getting back to editing photos. Here's more Saturday photos, Round 2 in the Suede Palance, I really like how some of these came out.

You're wlecome, and thanks. There are plenty of non-traditional cars/trucks there too, I just didn't photo them.
But yes, it's good to see the traditional cars come out for an event.
