You know, I was so unimpressed with it I didn't shoot any photos of it. I'm funny that way, but I typically only shoot photos of the cars that I'm attracted to in some way. There were some real goofy cars contending for the Slonaker this year, I just shook my head as I walked by them. In hindsight, the winner isn't so bad, just next to the Ardun Killer it looks cartoonish in comparison. Here's a link to it I found online: https://www.hagerty.com/media/car-p...n-is-2025s-al-slonaker-memorial-award-winner/

Am I right, isn't this AMBR co-winner actually a coupster? I.e. it started out in life from the Ford factory as a coupe, and subsequently at some point had the roof and pillars cut off and turned into a roadster.

@Blues4U the car has a build thread here, I'll let you enjoy it.

Just want to thank you again for the pics. I really wanted to go this year, but buying parts for the project happened and quashed any hope of driving out and attending.

Thanks for the heads up! Although it just blew a couple of hours of my morning powering through that thread, LOL! Here I thought I had an early start to the day, then all of a sudden I'm hooked into that thread and there went a couple of hours, haha. Oh well. It was worth it, can't believe in all these years I had not seen that thread before. I added my pics to it.

You have a real eye for color. Richie's car was great.

I know Phil Cool's '32 crosses over HAMB lines, but that still screams hot rod to me.
It's like McMullin's, but more tire, more engine and brighter.
The way they relieved the firewall to just barely get the valve covers off, the hood and door hinge bits that are unabashedly chromed, the wishbones parallel not tilted down. Sigh, just sweet.

Thank you for all the amazing pics of the show and taking the time to post them. What I find crazy is that we flew down to this show on Thursday night. Spent all day Friday and Sat from opening to close and I am seeing vehicles that you took pictures of that I missed. This show is just awesome. Next year I am going to try and stay till Monday so I have Sunday at the show as well.

I see things in other guy's threads that I didn't see! And I was there for 3 days, LOL! Sunday is a great day. maybe half the people there vs Saturday. Fewer Drive-In cars too, but a lot less people to dodge when you're trying to shoot photos.
