Perhaps it should be described as ANYTHING other than "anti-route 66"! Route 66, in and of itself, is practically sacred in this part of the country regardless of any anti-billet sentiments! Just a thought!

To me, the bottom line is that we all have a choice. To go, or not to go! If you don't like the "theme" of an event, don't attend it! I'm building a RPU to be used as a daily driver;...period! I didn't build it as a primary means of haulinging myself to every event that occurs. i just dig driving these things! Most folks at events around here don't understand what I'm doing anyway! So be it! I ain't everybody else. I'm me!

No pics, but I hear that the show had a good variety of customs. traditionals, lead sleds, low riders and more. Plus, a good number of vendors. Live music to boot. Just an alternative to the bland Route 66 show downtown.

me and my girl went to the route 66 show, had a good time. But then, I like anything with a motor and wheels. Yeah, a few boyd cars, but I heard that 37 Terraplane pickup fire up that blown arias and knocked the wind out of me, so it was pretty cool. There was lowriders, bombs, and airbags there. There was one 64 impala sitting on a 3-wheel tilt with the front bumper 4' off the ground. They may have had rules, but they didn't seem to be worried about them. Didn't know about the other show, would have liked to seen it too.
