I am looking for some information reguarding the crash that subsequently destroying his original 65' factory AW/B Dodge in a match race at Cecil in 65'. He was running injected fuel at that time.

Here are a few of the pics I have of his 65' car(s).

Original 65 car running GAS -

Same car - running FUEL this time. It was THIS car that was destroyed in the crash:

Have you seen the video of the crash? Bobby Harrop has the distinction of being the only person to total two of the 11 factory AWB cars. His and then the year old Ramchargers car....

I thought that Harrop crashed his origiinal Flying Carpet on the first weekend out in the spring of 1966. It had had a facelift over the winter., which included center steering and most of the windows were removed. As far as the 1965 Ramchargers car in 1966 he put it on it's roof at ATCO or ? and they repaired it. I think thats why it has stipes on the roof and then later there are no stripes. JMO

Mike, I may be wrong then. Didn't he total the Ramchargers car also or did it move on after Harrop??

Damn! He trashed two of them! I used to work with his wife so I don't live far from him. I had him autograph a model I made of his 64' car YEARS ago. I haven't seen him in a while and was trying to gather some info up on his 65' car when I read that he crashed at Cecil. Last I saw him was at Atco when he ran his 64' car and his 61' SD Catalina was on display there too. I do know that he has a red Coronet sitting in the driveway now and a nice selection of Hemi speed equipment(some originally off his cars). I wonder if he's planning on a clone? He was into tri-5's for the longest time and has a hoard of them in the pens outback along with some older Mopars.

    Another bump!

Harrop got the Ramchargers car after the Ramchargers team crashed and repaired it atleast once.

Color pictures show the Harrop version of the Ramchargers car with a plain white roof (and blue strip on the quarters), and the roof with blue stripes. So I am guessing that Harrop got the car from the Ramchargers team with a plain white roof and then he added the blue stripes later????
