hey loud pedal, could you give some details on the car? im gettin ready to build a coupe on duece rails and i really like the stance you got. also, how much is it chopped? thanks wes
I first put the radiator and grille on the frame. Then I put a model A hood on to find the distance from the body to the grille shell. Then I raised the body up until the hood had the correct line from the top of the cowl to the grille shell. The body ended up being about 2" above the rails. To take up the gap, I then cut the outer door skin and dropped it down to the frame level. I did the same with the sides of the cowl and the front of the rear quarter panels. I added strips of metal to fill the space above the lowered portions. On the rear I ran the stock '32 fuel tank, so I had to bob the rear panel. I also welded in '32 wheel wells. Hope I explained that clearly... if you need pics of the work I did, I can get you some. The top is chopped 8". I defy anyone who says I can't see because of the chop, I can see just fine. This car is what I drive.... every day. LP
pics would be awesome, you can post em here, or send me to my email or whatever. wes-shtboxford@aol.com
