There seems to be a lot of "Off the hip" comments here. I will refrain from making such comments. I just want you to know that although I don't know you. You can always "lean" on me for "support":D.

    Speedy recovery!

A friend of mine got one of those "California hip jobs". She came out with a new set of boobs and a perpetual smile!

But seriously - I hope it all goes well for you Bob. You'll be back on the road in no time.

  6. I hope he stays traditional and puts in an original, slightly used hip from the Boneyard instead of a new billet-one. :)

I don't blame ya, I'd rather be sitting around Cali getting better than Wisconsin!

he is a Corvette guy. Perhaps the front heaviness is caused by a big engine...or something like that. Best wishes BK, you are one hip dude.

Well, you know some guys w/do anything to sit in the barber chair and watch tv. Ya know Bob, someday you'll fall asleep in that thing and wake up clean shaven. None of us'll know you. Take care, and know our prayers are w/you. I need a new knee, but I'm putting it off 'til after xmas. God bless..........

I don't believe many would recognise him without the beard but they sure would by the voice and speech

Got the first of my knee replacements done 2 weeks ago. The first few days were hell but I believe I'm over the hump and getting better every day. Come out and we can do laps around my 4 acre driveway. Winner gets your '62 Vette:eek:. HEY!! It sounded good to me.:D Besides Im not interested in any competition that doesn't have to odds stacked in my favor.:)
Good luck with the surgery, hope your as good as new afterwards.

  16. I always thought Bob was plenty HIP! Hell if he gets new parts I'll never be able to attend the amount of shows he manages to get to every year.

Thoughts and prayers from some hacks in Montana.

Make sure it's a"traditional" joint, with a grease zerk so you can give it a couple shots when it starts getting dry.

Prayers for a speedy recovery Bob.

    All the best,

The procedure that I am haveing is a Hip Resurfaceing not a Replacement. There is a lot less bone loss with the newer procedure and there are not a lot of Doctors in the country that have the experience to do the job yet. This guy out here is one of the most experienced.

Also, the doctor closest to me turned me down because of my age.

I had all of my pre op shit done today and am ready for the new suspension to be installed Tomorrow morning at 0700.

Wish me luck and thanks for all of the good wishes and the smart ass comments also.

Maggie will post tomorrow after the operation.
