    This may be fringe off topic, but Jerry Quesnell's famous Merc custom was owned and slightly updated in '65-'66 by Bob Kirkpatrick, as featured in the Spence Murray helmed Aug/Sept Popular Customs. For both magazines collectors and historians, chopped Mercs were pretty much "history" during the musclecar era, in fact Pat Ganahl could only drum up two for his '74 Street Rodder issue, the Graffiti Merc and a lowrider. Some tasteful updates to this one, though originally a beautiful custom to begin with!
