You tell me when & I'll set em up with Jim. Maybe we can The H.A.M.B-Cakes Cruise or The H.A.M.B.-N-Eggs Brake-fast Cruise! Everyone knows that All Roads Lead To The Broiler!:D
Seriously though John, Just get a group of guys together that want to make the ride over. We'll talk weds.

  17. i got a question....

when did cruising go from a weekend thing to a wednesday night thing???

I know, I know... Johnies wednesday nites was the thing when i used to go in the 80's. it was a tradition when everything went away. and then over to frisco's. same thing. but when did wednesday nites become the thing. was that around the time that cruising became parking?

Bob's in the valley is a friday nite deal.

    cruising is a friday/saturday deal.

i'm ALWAYS down for the wednesday nites for the sake of tradition on the spot, but mid week sucks for most folks!

if we can get guys to make the broiler a weekend destination, if only for an hour, you'll see stuff go through the roof!

what was the point of cruising? see and be seen, pick up chicks, pick up a race, flim-flam, stretch the truth, and get a malt.

i know its tough when there are no other 'cruising' destinations in the vicinity, but truthfully, most folks dont have anything better going on anyhow. what do we gotta do to get the same buzz going at the broiler that toluca lake has?

let me also suggest that local area respectable car clubs use the broiler as a destination for meetings and gatherings. call ahead and have a monthly meeting in the starlite lounge. line your junk up and treat everybody real nice. tip REAL big and make the management and staff WANT you back!

    Gotta Tell ya IDK?
Wednesday was always a Great Big Cruise on Van Nuys in "The Valley", When that deal went sour and the cops ran everyone off. Hell, I looked forward to it for years and right when I was able to do it It went away:(.

In the 80's The Harvey's Broiler Re-Cruise popped up, Yes it involved "Parking" but alot of cool cars showed up. Met many people there and Hence the reason why I worked to save it :)

    AP,
If you feel that a Saturday night Cruise would support such a deal,c'mon out and we'll put something together. If ya feel like cruising in front, that's even cooler. Just wish I had time to make my junk roadworthy again=Lol!
    Hope to see ya Weds

    For Phil...

I live just down the street from this fine establishment. I can attest to the fact that this local restaurant is really top notch. The owners are upstanding citizens and fine americans. On occassion, the parking area is frequented by the local youth in thier souped up automobiles. These informal automotive related events can be quite entertaining for all.

    Hope this helped.....<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
