I was there this last Friday and it was "cold" by CA standards....like it was said above...since it is so nice here most of the time...when it is a little colder, or there is a chance of rain...some stay home and come the following week. I remember just a couple of weeks ago it was really warm and the place was really packed. Sorry to hear the OP had a bad time...it really is a historic place, we who live nearby are spoiled to have it so close...it has been a cruise spot since 1949 or so...Tommy Ivo used to (and still occasionally does) cruise here, Jay Leno pops in with all his eclectic stuff every once in a while...Ive seen famous people from George Barris to Carmen Electra there...jeez what else can a guy want?
a freind was chased down by one of burbanks finest ....for.....no front plate told my freind if he ever sees that car here again he will impound it....that was over 10 years ago when the back row was good , havent been back.....
4:30? no ****. ive been to bobs a handfull of times but never think about driven into the city during rush hour. cars come and go all night. ive never showed up before 7. bottom line is, its a cruise night and you were excpecting a traditional car show?
Did you check in with the official "Welcome to California" website and register your visit? They would have made sure you got to see all the cars you wanted and none that you didn't. I mean, c'mon dude, haven't you seen the commercials? All the famous people hanging out, waiting for you, and just you, to see them so you can feel like you got the whole "experience"... that's a cryin' shame, next time call ahead, maybe Arnie can call Jay, and then Clint can get his roadster and they'll go hang out at the drive-in waiting for you to see them.
Aww, someone didn't get the response he was hoping for? 70's cars or not I'd kill for a place like Bob's to cruise into just for dinner.
