I use ARP Fastener lube. On bolts that will need to come out and in - I use Marvel oil.

Splurge on stainless steel if you can match them up. Ace Hardware has a nice selection of high strength A286 alloy hardware.

I’ve use never seize for over 45 years in coastal power generation plants. So far it has never failed me. Body bolts are not high stress so a good grade 2 will be fine if you are replacing a few.

As Bob stated...a stainless bolt is the way to go. Much cheaper than hardware stores would be a bolt and fastener company if you have one in your area. Here in Amarillo, we have Amarillo Nut and Bolt. About 1/3 the cost if that. I've also used Fastenal but they're nowhere as cheap. I used Fastenal for the 5/16-18 serrated-flange hex head bolts. Don't forget ebay as well.

If you go with stainless - then use anti-seize for sure...

Like Frank's Hot Sauce, I use that s--- on everything. Even on old exhaust studs, it remains in place considering the heat cycles it sees. It may come off as dust but it does the job.
