Got mine from Dennis Carpenter. The set came with new bolts and washers too.

His listing says he has them for 52 through 54 models.

    The way I figured it....

This is A LOT of bolts, washers, locking nuts and fiber/rubber grommets. At the hardware store, you could probably find most of this stuff, some of which are going to be over a dollar a piece. You add all the prices up and you're probably well over $75...maybe more.

There's no way you'll find the fiber/rubber grommets in the right size with a hole drilled through them....so that would be a heck of tedious chore creating all that stuff from raw stock.

Then a couple hours of your time at the store sorting through bins....and well....after I went through that mental excercise myself....figuring I would save around $25, I paid the money to Carpenter.

Mac's has 'em also $125 for the kit - hardware and rubber pads. It's where I got them for my '56, good quality stuff. I looked around, couldn't find one for less $$$. You might build a kit piece by piece for less and if you have the time.

  8. I tried making my own for one of my projects and decided after all the time and parts chasing I did not really come out ahead. The next set I got from MAC's
