Need some opinions from you guys as to whether or not I should use body mount bushings to fasten the reconstructed body of my 39 pontiac coupe to the custom frame that I had constructed by a chasis shop. the car has mostly a 2x3 frame with a 68 Nova front clip. will be BB chevy ,auto, narrowed 12 bolt. I'd rather solid mount it,but don't want it uncomfortable to cruise. Whadda' think?

You dont have to use bushings but without them its gonna be pretty rough. try to find some urethane bushings so theyre still pretty stiff

Without some kind of insolater, a body and frame construction will always have a squeak when the car is rolling down the road. The body and frame flex differently and even if bolted tightly together, without something between, they will shortly begin to move and the rubbing between the two componets will drive you crazy. The insolater can be as simple as a 2" square of a tire tread with a hole in it for the mount bolt to p*** through, but you will want something between that separate the body from the frame. Thank you Gene. Guess I realized it would be a good idea, but thought that maybe I could skip that step. Going to do exactly as you suggested. Thanks again for your reply. John
