Hey guys. Do you think these would be a good option for replacement body mounts?

My body is sagging pretty good by the front drivers side. Looking under the car you can see that one of the channels that the body mount is supposed to sit on is rusted out. I will have to figure out how to replace the rusted section of floor and then replace the rubber mount. I've never done any rust/floor board repair, but it couldn't be too much different than what I did in the back for my clearances.

From the Ford Parts Manual part # BA 7011520 are discontinued but suggest replacement with "cut to fit tire carc***es" A junk 6 ply truck tire sidewall would be a good candidate :D Probably EZ to get for free or disposal fee of a couple bucks.

Haha that's funny. Seems weird that they suggest using an old tire. I've heard people suggest that, but never would have thought it would come from ford. Good to know. Thanks.

This time of year around Phoenix there are plenty of what are known as "road alligators" they are always free ;)

I bought a piece of rubber from McMaster-Carr that was around 2" diameter and was 6" long to make new mounts for my 61 F-100. I think it comes in different diameters and can get with hole in middle so it wont have to be drilled.

Check your area for industrial conveyor belt suppliers. I would bet they would have leftover "drops" from jobs that could be had for little or nothing.

A couple other thoughts.. Farm stores sell stall mats they are bout 1/2 thick rubber and vary in size.. A hole saw would cut nice round donuts.. Run the saw backwards, it will still cut the rubber and not grab.
