  1. Can anyone ID these hoods? First one is a reverse opening unit. About the same size as the falcon hood behind it.

  3. 57 Ford Fairlane based cars, ranchero, wagon.... The Falcon hood is 62-3, if it has the chrome insert..

  4. Another, 46-48 Ford?

  5. One more, 37 Ford p/u? The ornament turns to release the latch.

The first one looks an awful lot like one from a '57 Ford. Reverse opening would fit my theory.

Oh yeah, the second one is definately '46-'48 Ford p***enger car.

Its a 47 or 48 car due to the stailes strips. Would fit a 46. The one you said 37 p/u isn't, they had 4 piece hoods. It doesn't look right for a 37-8-9 car, due to what appears to have a curve in the front.

Hey! That's a 48 sledding hood. Also known as an "Idaho Led Sled". Best in it's cl***. You have it upside down. It's missing the rope. Rope goes from the front to an old pickup back bumper. Best with chained snow tires on the pickup. It'll hold 3 drunk sledders. Last one to get thrown off the hood wins! [IMG]

You get extra points for riding nekkid, standing up with a hand rope. Double points if it's below 0 and you're going down Broadway at noon!

  9. I ment to say 38 ford p/u, due to the rounded opening in front.

Joe, I tried the sleding a few years back. It turned into a near death experiance [IMG] Matter of fact the 65 chevy "tow car" never did make it home [IMG]

Sometimes the cop cars trying to catch you without chained snow tires don't make it home either! But I wouldn't really know anything about that! [IMG]
