I bought a pair of rear fibergl*** fenders for my 50 GMC from Verdine Performance in Garden Grove CA, owned and operated by Anthony (Tony) Forsberg. I had to trim them and finish them myself, but they ended up being very nice.
After a week or so of beating grinding, welding, and sanding on the original front fenders; I woke up and called Tony for a set of his fibergl*** front fenders. I sent him a check for $440 on Nov 2, 2010. It was cashed right away and I was told the fenders would be here in Scottsdale, AZ in 2 weeks. Finally in March, 2011, after numerous calls, I received 2 fenders. OH my god, what a freaking nightmare. No amount of grinding, heating, bending, torquing or other persuasive tactics would get either of those fenders to line up even close. Of course I let Tony know right away. They were obviously not nearly the same quality as the rear fenders. He admitted a problem and told me he would refund my $$. Now it's August and I haven't seen a refund or can I get a response from phone calls email, or US mail.
He is Anthony Forsberg, 9782 Gamble Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92841 714-478-9899.
I just thought everone should know about the rip off.
Recently, I bought some original fenders that fit right up.Sweet. I will chase this man until hell freezes, and that's where he will be, obviously.

Bad news travels fast! A good reputation is worth its weight in gold.....He may have screwed you out of $440 but he'll loose more than that in the long run.

Here is what I do. I get the copies of e-mails, etc. and a copy of the cashed check and contact their state attorney general office. I ask for their help in getting a refund. I have done this in Cali and they were on top of it right away. They are particularly effective with a registered business. Do a written narrative of your conversations with the guy and the timeline. Good luck

That ****s but since you still have the merchandise and started hacking away on it you don't have a leg to stand on.

That sounds like defeatism... not me, I will never cave to being ripped off. I will carry the torch as long as I have to and I will prevail. Anthony Forsberg will remain a target as long as he is indebted to me.

you would be correct, unless he has proof that an agreement was made by both parties to refund the money, in which case, he deserves a refund.

man that sux. unfortunately it seems like people are ripping others off more and more lately. i was apollogized to a guy that i recently bought an engine from because i basically tore the whole thing down before i bought it. i said it was nothing against him personally, just that i had been screwed over too many times by people that i thought were straight shooters. sad that a handshake has no value anymore. good luck -DVZ
