My organizational skills are lacking today. Unless the hardware/fasteners are new or set aside for a current project, everything is in bins, trays, buckets or boxes. I have 3 generations of used hardware and I'm in the process of handing it down to the next.

When shipping costs more than the item I’m buying, I’ll p***. Just a personal thing for me. I’m kinda picky when it comes to hardware, so that is part of the problem. Just looking for headbolts for my flathead became an obsession, and ended up getting them from Caterpillar on the cheap vs ARP and other “kits”. When I’m at the wreckers, I often scrounge up clips, switches, and hardware for one of my OT vehicles. Maybe, in the springtime, I’ll hit one and just spend the day pulling various hardware. Probably will cost next to nothing and I like wandering the yard. A bit like a treasure hunt. Lol!

I found these old index card file/drawers and when I was building my bench, I incorporated them. It's nice to have a decent amount of space for hardware but, also, it's limited so I don't keep too much stuff.
