WWII stands for WORLD war II..........early hotrodder's used many influences brought back with them, depending on where they were stationed...... FWIW......yeah.....it's not "period correct" per say, but neither is the ALT and Vega box.....it does it's job by storing tools and reg.......oh well.......
I'm not being serious dude, haha. I love your truck... and I wont deny that if I made an early ford pickup, I'd be tempted to copy yours. I was just yanking your chain, no worries. I'm sure if I could incorperate .303 into my car somehow I would
Based on a late war mustang, not a fan of this paint job but the rest of the car is breathtaking. V-12 Merlin in a 55 Chevy, and its Aussy. http://www.hotrodhotline.com/feature/richardscorner/05hadfield/
Why limit yourself to OD green? Not that I have anything against OD green,it looks swell too. Especially with the nose down a***ude you get from a collapsed nose gear strut. Enjoy the possibilities...
Here's a couple OD cars. My staff car when I was in the Army back in the 60's ('65 Chevy). Jeeps M38A and a M1-51 from the 60's National Guard '55 Chevy from Parkersburg, WV
There is a 1955 from Oz that has a Merlin engine so he painted it to look lika a WWII bomber. Can't find it right now.
This is one of our club members car. Some people don't like it, but he doesn't care and neither do I.
