is there anywhere to get the hardeners in other colors ?

I would like silver/aluminum so it looks like lead
or black might work in some places,

Just an idea , also is there any way to color the bondo itself ?
just the regular cheap $15 a gallon bondo, not all metal etc

    Thanks for your ideas....

If it was me I wouldn't drive around with bondo/filler exposed to the elements. it absorbs water like a sponge. Not sure if that's your plan, but just a heads up.

I'm unsure with tinting filler, I've never tried it.

You could probably use a clear hardener with a gray mud. The BIG problem would be seeing the mix. That's why they tint the hardener. And like has been said, it will take ALL the water out of the air and rust underneath if you don't seal it. Also remember that a lot of primers won't seal moisture.

Use All-Metal. Looks the most like real metal.

i like a chipped area wth some pink bondo showing.-- looks K00000000l! :D

i dont know on bondo tinting. i remember seeing some guys mixing a handfull of fine metal shavings in their bondo & mixing it all up. i dont remember what they were doing it for though. i think they were trying to cheat.
they were racing something & trying to get a magnet to stick over their aluminum panel? -- did turn the bondo a gray i remember. -- i suggested getting it wet after it was dry & it did rust. had rust specks. worked good for them.:D

How about instead of planning for your work to fail, plan your work better so it doesn't fail. Here's the first tip, if your paint chips and bondo is the first thing you see, you have a big problem. Keep in mind you get what you pay for with a $15 dollar per gallon can of bondo. That means you're probably using Pro's Choice Primer from the local auto parts store at $60 @ gallon.

Get some better products and do the work right so maybe you won't have these issues.
