I was out today at a bone yard that I try to hit a couple times a year . Well in the back they keep older cars when they can find them . I did come across some Buick's , Olds , Studebaker , Dodge and of course a Ford . Most are from the 60's & 70's but saw this big Yellow wagon sitting at the other end . I get to it to find (I think) a 52 or 53 Custom panel wagon . I think it's a 52 . Looks like someone started to Kustom build it from the 1970's from the seats I saw in it . the engine and trans was gone . Was a 3 on the tree car so I figure a flat head 6 was under the hood at one time . They replaced it with a 302 and C4 from a Mustang I think because it had a Mustang floor shifter in it . All the trim is on the car along with all the gl*** . Will need the front fender bottoms replaced the correct way , unlike that riveted patch panel that is there now . the odometer read 00000 !
As soon as I can figure out how to get the pictures off the pay cell phone I have and post them here , I will do that .
I also got pics of Military trucks as well.
I asked the guy how much for the wagon but he said he will have to check with his dad for a price .
I would love to have it but knowing the owner he will want 5x what it's really worth . would still be a great car to rebuild . Not as bad as most that age that I have seen !
