I've always prefered a split wishbone over haipins, and this car is no exception.

What do you like? you don't prefer one over the other? Even just a little?

    Bones, for the win!:)

  3. The hairpins are 36" but I can only cut 5" at the most to line up the pitman arm.

    Bones...them bones

  5. I prefer hairpins but I've never had to choose one or the other I always either had one or the other. So if I were in your shoes it would be a crap shoot.

Probably go with the pins. Make everything the right length and you're golden.

A speed part that dates at least back to 1947 is too modern for you and you compare them to an alternator?

Normally I like pins, but the bones look better in this case.

  7. I like bones but in my opinion the ones you have on the car are too short and the hairpins look outta place,,more like something that would be used on a full fendered car,,my 2 cents worth.

BTW,the work on the car looks great! HRP

    I'd use longer bones '33-'34's I think.

  9. I cant go any longer due to the relationship between the pitman arm and pivot point of the bones.

Go with the A bones, then. They'll be just fine.

  13. Bones look good but I like hairpins too, but would choose a P & J style hairpin over those instead.

  15. After careful consideration, looking at the pictures side by side and the overwhelming choice of knowledgable people whom I have the utmost respect for I have come to the conclusion I have only but one way to go. BONES! DEM BONES!
