Alright just figured I would share this with everyone. I went to upstate NY Saturday and knocked on the door of the Rolling Bones Hot Rod shop. Let me tell you I have never laid eyes on a meaner more sinister 32 Tudor in my life. Not only did these guys welcome my wife and I into their shop and spend a solid hour shooting the shit, they insisted I sat myself down in the wicked 32 they just built for a customer. Muddy boots and all. What a great couple of guys, true to traditional hot rods and anyone who shares their interest. These guys definitely produce some rolling art. Street Rodder was there shooting the car , it should be out in a month or so for everyone to see. Props to Rolling Bones. Thanks Guys Mike
Oh yeah and Keith keeps the 59c car in a barn where it looks like it has been for about 20 years! Just way too cool!
Any pictures available? Those guys build Right-On Hot Rods!!!! I'd like to see a shop tour, as they don't seem to update their web site to often. They are probable too busy wrenchen' to keep it current.
Sorry guys I didn't want to overstep my boundries as they showed me around, so I didn't take pics. But just wait till this 32 Tudor comes out in Street Rodder. This car is insane!!! All black, blown flattie that sounds like the devil himself is under the hood, and hammered hard! As for the shop, nothing over the top, plenty of room and deuces everywhere.
shes definately a badass Cdan..thats for sure...Just wait guys, every car thats gonna be coming from that shop will be as badass as the one before that...walking in that shop is awe inspiring for sure...
Misfit, Why not pay them a visit and update the HAMB ? I think the sedan pictured was finished for last years GNRS, but I could be wrong.
Chris -- Are you 'Boners building ANOTHER tudor with a blown flathead? I don't think I can take anymore! -- Of all the cars at last year's GNRS, this one gave me the most wood:
I don't work there anymore, but the one you saw at the GNRS is the one hes talking about...Last time I saw it, it was nearly completed and was making the shake down passes around town before being handed over to Mike, the cars owner...
Here's one getting some serious use at "Lake Bonneville" at Speedweek 2007 Thats some hard core salt water! Dan
Does anyone have pics of model a sedans built in this fashon? I've got one that Im planning on building like this.
The 7/07 issue of SRM has a feature on the Bones-built Dennis Varni sedan. But there's a lot more here than meets the eye, you've really gotta see these cars in person to appreciate the detail and craftsmanship.
