Bonneville Bombshell Buick video

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by BROCK ART STUDIO, Aug 2, 2010.

  1. This is her first day back together for 2010 Bonneville Speedweek.
We did some serious engine mods this year.
Comp Cams of Tennessee ground us an extreme cam.
Doug Anderson of Automotive Machine Service, Albuquerque:
    opened up the intake ports
    shaved the head {increase compession to 11.25 to 1}
installed chrome moly pushrods & lifters
    ARP rod bolts
    custom cut stainless exhaust valves

    She's ready to fly.

See you on the SALT !

Nice video, loved the dramatic lighting and it sounds like rolling thunder. I need you to fire this thing up in the street in front of my house some night. We'd show these punks with their big car stereos a thing or three!:D

    Tear 'em up at B'ville!

I guess I have never seen your car/project before this thread. I Love the concept and engine choice for this thing!! Absolutely amazing! Good luck and set another record.

  8. It's gonna' be a fast year.

My Buddy Ronnie "COWBOY" Dunn of Brooks & Dunn is my driver this year.
He's no stranger to the wheel of a race car.
It 's sure to be a fun year.

Sounds ultra healthy. Wish I could make it this year. Are you trying for a record this year? What is it?

Of all the things I've read or seen leading up to Bonneville so far, this is the one that has just got me AMPED. Holy hell, your car sounds KILLER!

    Good luck!

  13. Right-on guys... I'm on a roll !

Today she got her new/ improved 10 gauge steel dash with better "driver safety" located, shut down controls.

I had some fans come by to witness some "hearing loss" and buy a bunch of support shirts.

    good day!

Hope you got enough room in there for Ronnie, he's a pretty tall guy. I know how much he likes hats too so getting a helmet on him might be a challange. I know he will though.

Amazing. Saw and talked with you last year and counting down for this year, 7 and a wake up.

  16. IF YOU ONLY KNEW ! ... what I been through.

After we got this gig groovin, I thought "man that dude is tall" ... so I had Ronnie sit against the wall in Detroit with his helmet on and had Kix put a level on his head and taped it to the floor.
The Bombshell was about 3" short.
I just finished cutting 3 layers of Buick floor out and dropping a 1/8" sub floor just above the frame.
    He's in ! ... with helmet.

    * note: Kix likes hats , Ronnie don't.

I know Ronnie doesn't found that out firsthand a few times. You never see him in any music videos with a hat, holding one in his hand for one video. Just won't do it. Saw the both of them at the National Finals Rodeo last year, I never made it to the CMA's and their farewell concert.

  18. ZZ Top and Brooks and Dunn did the World Tour last year .
    Those cats are tight.
We'll be talkin to Billy Gibbons about a photo shoot with Bombshell & Cadzilla.

Brock Billy would probably do that no problem. He's another very cool Car Guy. That would make a very intersting shoot. And a great artical for like..................Rod & Custom??:D They had Billy's 59 T-bird in there recently.
