Don't know how many here care. But the 3 mile USFRA test and Tune has been called off due to wet salt. ****s. My van is washed, loaded and pointed in the right direction. I guess I'll leave it loaded for SpeedWeek.

It is just something you can't predict. My truck is washed, fueled, and loaded. Planned on hooking the trailer today. Not happening. Still planning on SpeedWeek and the Cook Shoot out.

More rain on the salt today. SCTA crew that was dragging the course for SpeedWeek said to have gone home to try another day.

The picture I saw was at about the 3 on course 2. It was sloppy wet, but not under water.

  7. Well then a couple weeks of unbearable heat and you're golden. LOL

That old pic of me standing in front of the B-Ville sign was taken in '82 ( I think) and that was all lake behind me. No speed trials that year.

  9. Me too rich.

I am no expert on salt and the prep there off but from the looks of it I would think that a good breezy warm week would have it close to being back on track. ya know we all seem to have some idea what it takes to make a car go fast enough to compete and how much work that it but it would be interesting to know what it actually takes to put that show on. Course prep, keeping all the clowns in line and etc.

Just seen a report that the SCTA will make a call this weekend as to cancel or go with speed week.
It said the salt condition is very poor and just to thin for the high speeds.
