We stayed at the Red Garter. It was booked but we called back a few times and ended up getting in due to a cancellation. I think rooms are probably much easier to get on Monday than on the weekend.

Thanks so much for posting all those pics! It's true that you really can't see it all, but you certainly got a lot, and thanks for including our car (#325 D/GRMR , silver&orange) twice! I was there Thursday through Thursday and was so busy with the car that I didn't get to see a lot of the other cars, esp. rods and customs, unless they were at the Nugget at nite. I hope if you came by to talk with us that I wasn't too abrupt, as I get a little focused on the racing (ask Squirrel). Again, thanks for a great post. vic

Wonderful photos, I didnt see many of the cars you captured. Was looking to see Vern , but didnt know where he was pitting. You Covered Bonneville like an Expert. They should hire you to do the DVD of the event. Thanks for posting.

Gee wiz mr. Fox your so right ! Jim asked to make the trip to bonneville with us and he certainly is a nice guy and no poser like that guy with the fake hot rod with the 59c on his door . After all the poser guy with the 59c timing tag from 1952 that he got as a gift from bill weber who earned it in 1959 has only driven the poser hot rod to bonneville and back from the far side of new york seven times so he can race the 2321 poser roadster . Guess he should have checked with you first before putting the 59c on his door . Oh ya by the way that poser guy and his 59c went 137 in the maxton mile with a y-block . About 7 miles faster that jim with a hemi . But your right he must be a poser

I should probably apologize to "Jim" whom I don't know. It wasn't my intent to pick on any one car or person. I must have seen the 59C car so much it stuck in my mind when I was making a statement. Which I still stick with concerning cars with phony numbers painted on them. Whatever the number is.

Really nice set of pictures. I was there but didn't get many pictures, I was a crew-member on the WZBD team with 5 cars.
