Event Coverage Bonneville test and tune help wanted

July 5th through 10th. I would like to go and help out with the Flashpoint AA/BFS. But due to health concerns I can't go by myself. I would leave here at 5am 7/5/17. San Mateo, Ca. Ride in comfort in my 2017 pickup towing the fuel and parts trailer. Rooms are available and reasonable for this meet. 650-345-5221

Wish I would have heard about this sooner. Would be a trip of a lifetime, just won't work with my work schedule this late out. Bump for some fortunate person.

I'm bringing a racing buddy who used to partner a drag car with me.

There will likely be three of us midwest gearheads coming as visitors.
If there is any competition team finding themselves short handed, I'm sure we will have three eager volunteers wanting to help out wherever we can just for the adventure of it.

I am trying to clear it with work, but nobody is getting back to me. It would mean not showing up on Wednesday, and then notifying them. Might be a career-limiting move.

 

I did this a couple of years ago with Rich. If I cannot pull it off, one of you absolutely must go.

In life, there are very few opportunities-of-a-lifetime. This is one of them.

Not just Bonneville, but a record-contender streamliner, and not just both of those, but a ride with Rich.

You cannot buy access to historical knowledge like this.

 

Are you stopping in Vegas for....ahem... you know, what stays in Vegas? You don't have extreme flatulence or anything, right?

Vagas is not between here and there. Reno is. But I usually don't stop. 11 fun filled hours of trucken.

11 hours eh, that's almost enough time to tell you my life story, although most people fall asleep after the first half hour. What is the motor and fuel in the salt car?
