What's the difference between speedweek and world finals?

  3. I've never been to it, but I think it was set up to do record runs only. It's basically a weekend event.....normally much smaller than Speedweek.

Twenty years ago, we set the C/STR record at 199.923 in August. In October, we bumped it to 201.689.
For an SCTA record, that's a significant jump.

They never all “stand” you rent them….and 20 years ago that 201 earned a Red Hat.
Currently the record is 229.4 …….so no.

  12. After that, he set the record at 210mph.

Then someone broke his record, with a Nascar powered roadster. 225mph I think it went. Not sure what the current record is.

  14. I propose they change the name from Salt LAKE City to Salt DESERT City ... it might help with the water issue :D
