Technical BOP bellhousing 3854443

I came across this bellhousing in my stash and I haven't been able to find much about it other than it's for BOP engines to GM manual transmissions. I just find it interesting that searching on the Internet doesn't show any pictures or barely even mentions it. Maybe because there's nothing else to say about it? Is it because there's just no interest in it? Any little bit of information on it would help my curiosity. Thanks.

It sure looks like Chevrolet to me. How about a picture of the block side?

Definitely Chevrolet, most likely from a truck.

 

I always double and triple check internet search results. A BOP bellhousing has got a big scallop at the top..plus they are aluminum. Like others have said..its Chevy.

 

Yes, it’s from a truck, it has the larger register diameter. They do sell a spacer so it can be used with an automobile transmission.
