    Scott,
Are you running a Weiand Tunnel ram too? RIC has me thinking now! Gain 30-40hp & Tq just by switching intakes! Jim...

    Lol!
Yes Jim,I'm running the Weiand p/n 1988 tunnel ram on the new "little bruiser" 289 I'm putting together.I couldn't find anybody willing to let go of their C6 2x4 intake,so I said "screw it",and bought a tunnel ram.

They usually come along on Craig's list or Kijiji for a decent price, and they make really good power with a couple of tuning tricks on the carbs.

With your new flywheel and a tunnel ram, you'll see how good your valve springs are in a hurry I bet!:D

And contrary to urban legends,a tunnel ram doesn't have to be an 8000rpm+ ONLY part.....they actually make a ton of torque through the midrange on a well tuned motor with a well thought-out combination of cam/heads/compression/carbs etc.

As and added bonus, they look BADASS.:D

RIC, Scott & Dogpatch, thanks for your input!!! I sometimes worry I'll ask a stupid question & come off looking like an idiot! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge! Jim...

  8. Asking questions, is for seeking knowledge.., never asking a question, might be stupid. Stupid, or stubborn is being shown the best way, and not following it.

  10. Hey Border Bandit Bros., sorry for hijacking your build thread guys, but were standing around here in your garage waiting for some more wrenching action, while you sit under a banky with the Mrs. & watch Pretty Woman (Barney re-runs for Beebee). We're gett'n bored & we already drank all your beer, so we're trying to entertain ourselves.., and try to bring another cross ram user over from the dark side.

You notice how Kips afraid to name his...... He's afraid of a dodge or Chrysler tag to be put on him, that's why he sold White Noise, cause after he put the stripes on the roof he became Mr. Mopar...... I would say we could call him Mr. shifter but we know the truth on that one!!!! Lol. ;)

Purple Peter eater fits Art perfect gonna have to get some stickers made up for him. And Rick no problem high jacking our thread it keeps it to the top but I don't know who's beer you guys been drinking but they are gonna be pissed when they find out since none of the Bandits drink
