Jeff, what width spring are you going with in rear? Stock 2" or 2.5" wide leafs?
Like Scott said, I'm also wondering where you found fiberglass panels? Scott also warned me out out that guy selling glass parts too! Jim...

Jeff, have you seen the quality of parts from Suncoast? If like to see them firsthand!
At #2400 that should be a missile going down 1/4!!! Jim

  3. 2400#'s & big HP small block Ford.., I got a new nickname for you, its "Sir"! Your car, I'm calling it "Big Honcho". I told Yesterday's Child what your brewing up, and she tucked her push bar between her slicks. Shannon may have to rename his car "Pale Hider"

  4. Jim I have not seen the quality of the fiberglass personally but I have talked to a few people that have they said its not the best but its not to bad either so ill let ya know what I think when it arrives. On the plus side I own and operate a body shop and have plenty of fiberglass experience so I can fix it if need be they were the only people that made the parts I needed. Also I am running a 2 1/2" Chrysler style mono spring in the rear.

Ric I hope it will live up to all this hype you got any high HP small block FORD combos up your sleeve like all the Chebby ones I have been hearing about around here lately?

  5. I've got lots of combos swimming around in my nut shell, gotta think about something during my 35 mile 1-2 hour work commute (each way) to keep from falling asleep.

strokedstang better look out he's going to figure out how to get some chebby parts in there.

  7. Saltine, I'm gonna use my FE whisper on him, so we can call his car "Nanny McFe" then Donovan can rename his Anglia "White Thrashed" and the mention of anything 1955 will make his left eye twitch.

I would have to say a fe motor would be way sweeter than a sbf.

When I built the Vicky two years ago...I ordered the wrong bellhousing. I clicked on the wrong part number and ended up with a hydraulic clutch only one from Quicktime. I ran the hydraulic setup for two years, but decided I would rather have a mechanical setup. I also didn't feel like buying another bellhousing...they cost too much, so I put a stock one in to check for linkage fitment...too high, so I borrowed the one from the Art project(chevy II) and it was too low. I decided that one just .250 lower than stock would be perfect. Here is the dimensions

  17. Got my fiberglass today wasn't real happy at first not what I ordered but the owner is gonna make it rite just going to be more work on my end. It was not supposed to have the bumper molded on it as u can see it looks hideous in the one picture before i choppex it off and it was supposed to have a complete stock looking one piece removable hood and as u can see the front half stays with the fenders. So now it is just going to be a complete one piece front end. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the stuff I bet the front end doors trunk dash a d rear bumper don't weigh but 150-175pounds

Jeff, that looks killer with that hideous bumper cut off the front! Sucks you didn't get it the way you wanted it! Bet them glass doors cut #150 pounds each door, they ain't light that's for sure! But on bright side glad you can make it work! Jim...

I need some opinions on wheels...I have decided to run either Cragar SS or the Keystone...and yes Ric I know they are heavy. You all know the Cragar, but you may of not seen the Keystone on anything cool before:D

I love Cragar SS wheels, but there are so many of them...the MDA has like five cars with them....the Keystones are different...

I know what you mean but its like you can put Cragers on most any car and that's all it takes to fix them as far as how they look.

  24. Personally, I like the wheels already on Shemanequin. If you want to lighten the rears, get some ET's, they use a spun aluminum drum, so they are much lighter than cast aluminum 5 spokes. As for the other choices, absolutely Cragars! They came out in '65, the Keystones were a little later and very popular with Chrysler Super Stockers & early Pro Stocks. I wish I had two sets of Keystones, one set to crap on, and one set to cover them up with. If your five spokes are ford pattern, I'll trade you the original Cragars from our 56, but they need re-chroming or powder coating. If you put Keystones on The Sherunsagain, I'm gonna beat you with a Shillelagh & I'm keeping my green steering wheel!!!

  29. I stand corrected. I must have thought later 60's cause that's how long it took them to give enough away, they started showing up on everything. :) I think shiney wheels would really make the black/green paint look good, but Keystones? DAMN MAN! Sounds like that's what you want, and your trying to talk me into them. If you dig them then go for it, besides I can close one eye on the starting line next to you, and I'll be ahead of you going down track, so I won't have to look at em.;) If you want to sell/trade your round 5 spokes, let me know.
PS. I'm gonna open up the end holes on that green wheel for this!
