Two weeks from now will fire us up!

  2. That goes for Big Talker Panneton too ;)

  3. Well I haven't got anything done on my car for a few weeks. I have been fixing my trailer because I gotta deliver a car to greer for a buddy so I have put the trailer off for 2 years it's finally time to get it fixed up and worthy of a long haul. But yesterday I did seal the deal on 5 original magnesium valve covers. I am still in shock that I got them they are not in my possesion but in a good friends possession so I know it's a done deal. And to top it all off they came from Dyno Dons collection how cool is that. One of them had a cool tag on it wanting to trade cammer for z11. Can't wait to set one of the sets on my car. I'll post pics when it happens

I had the day off, so I thought I would do something semi-productive....
These things are way overbuilt, so I got rid of some excess metal.

  6. I was able to help a buddy get five magnesium Cammer valve covers the other day from non other than Dyno Don Nicholsons stash. I'll pack em up soon, and send them to the north east, but not before I use them as candy dishes at my Halloween bash tomorrow night.

    Post some pics.

  9. When someone in the past cut ours, they came in from the edge about an inch or so like you did, and went around the whole door. There's barely enough for the inside garnishes. The best part is, they did it with dang gas torch!

Get a small alum channel and run it from side to side and mount the handle on it, that should do the job

  13. I'm gonna do a little back upper corner job like that Don. We sit pretty far back in ours, and well be able to reach the door handle easier.

Very low production 427ci "W" motor...race only...just before the Mystery motor was designed....most people forget that Dyno Don, Sox and Martin, Hubert Platt, Jenkins and Strickler were all Chevy racers pre 64...Don had a Z11...

  18. Pretty tough to smack talk a Bandit

  19. DANG, REALLY TONY?.., and you too Salty! Z11 should be in your current play book! Your 409 buddy is gonna revoke your cross flags and driving /tuning job for this!

  22. Your right, that's why I'm building a 392" small block too. I can put a couch and a big screen TV in the 56 and run in the new C/G class @ 3136 lbs when we feel so inclined.

  23. You haven't heard from me, cause I've gone off radar in super stealth mode. Walk quietly and carry a big stick is my new Moto. Besides, my brother Marc wrapped my mouth shut with a case of duct tape, and I ain't been able to chew through it yet. That's ok though, I can do better thinking and strategeryizing, when I ain't talking and interrupting my selves.

  28. Got some work done lately passenger header completely finished. Cut the rear wheel wells out the rest of the way. Didn't like how the outer part of the wheel tub was working so I chopped it out and gonna build a new one. Ordered intake and carbs should be here next week then the motor can go north for machining and assembly.

  29. Here are some better pics of building the headers. Also the mandrel I made to D shape the pipe to match the exhaust port. The mandrel is tapered on one end so you can pound it in the pipe and form it to the shape of the port. I made the mandrel out of a chunk of steel lots of grinding and milling to make it match perfect. I drilled a hole in a piece of oak I had laying around so I could clamp the pipe in the vise and not damage the pipe.
