Well didn't get as much done over the weekend as I planned but I did get the floor pans made. I have 2 full days in attempting to build the tunnel but can't seem to get past the front part of it. I thought the one I was working on today would be the one but it's not so back to the drawing board.

 

Man this thing is going to be KILLER and FORD CAMMER powered how good is that.

 

Ric, you buildin another car? And are you moving to the South still?

 

Yes still moving EAST in a couple months. Tried to get a lighter car going with Scout & Yeti, but Scout likes GMC bus induction, and the Yeti went car shopping at Sears. Its a Minor set back, so we'll continue on with our ole scarlet lady.

Finally got the front part of the tunnel together. I plan on smoothing the weld out later on. But for the most part I'm happy with it.

 

Really happy with the second part of the tunnel. I will end up cutting the side and making a little box on the side for the shifter. I ended up bolting it together with the first part turned out great. Only had to make that piece 2 times I considered the first one the template lol only wasted about 1 full sheet now on the tin work I have done but I'm getting the hang of it I don't want any of it to look like an after thought so I'm being extra picky to the detail

Thanks Tony honestly I won't be building another one for a while it turned out to be way harder than I imagined I have spent the last week trying to get it rite lol I'm sure the next one would be easier because I learned a lot making this one especially after I talked to Quain I figured out what I was doing wrong on most of it.

 

I keep putting it off - but the Gorilla tape on my tunnel needs to be gone in 2016 its just not the way it was in 65

Did you get a flywheel and starter on the grape so we wont have to push start it?

All I have been doing is searching for weight to take off the car. Working on a few other things to save some weight. I am also working on a aluminum oil pan and also working on throttle and linkage
