All I have to say is that the Swiss cheese bandits and tunneless Tony better get ready for 2016!

  5. I just get my money's worth on my drill bits and hole saws. I bought them from matco and they are lifetime warranty so I just get new ones every week. This is a every ounce counts car so most of the Swiss cheese will get covered up with tin. I also have a huge bag of metric thread titanium bolts I am re tapping to 3/8 so I think I can get at least 15 pounds off just changing out some fasteners as titanium is lighter than even aluminum and still stronger than steal. Tony come on up I will take u up on that offer drilling holes really sucks but I can't find any other way to get some more weight off.

  6. AH CRAP! All this light weight preaching has blown up in my face. I'm either gonna have to break out my own set of Holey Drilleholes, or go hide in C/Gas.

With all of these bad ass cars being built for this year, and the ones being hopped up that are already going, I'll probably be running in the middle of the c gas pack before the year is over!

  9. Tony offered the Catacombs to me on my failed attempt to be at Greer for the SEG Finals (DAMN RAINOUTS). I told him that room was for dirty hairy pussies, and I wanted none of it!

  11. This aught to scare the crap out of some people. This is my ford on the scales with everything I could possibly think of except drive shaft and front and back lexan and I had extra weight that won't be on there to hopefully to compensate for the things I forgot. Also will be changing out the heavy g body disc brakes up front for some light weight drag brakes. And did I mention I was also sitting in the drivers seat.

  20. I will definitely be weighing it before and after paint. I am hoping the titanium and aluminum bolts will offset that weight:D I am also using direct to metal paint on a lot of the interior and suspention so I don't have to prime it I was just talking to my paint rep this week about that.. The roof has like 3 layers of paint on it now so I'm hoping that that old laquor paint twice as heavy as the new urithane paint.

I finished up the lift/traction bars...I'm going to trim off the extra material off when I figure out where the shocks go. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1452987863.197949.jpg

I modified some brackets for the lift bar mounts that I had made awhile back. I was going to use square tube, but had this bent pieces already. You can see my redneck 4X4 spacers to keep everything square... ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1452987482.494024.jpg

I modified the front spring mount I had made to fit as a trans crossmember. It worked out perfect. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1452987632.836630.jpg

The motor mounts turned out good, but they are a little different looking. I think they will work fine. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1452987701.719915.jpg

I also removed a little more material in the "A" pillar area. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1452987772.656393.jpg

Here is an inside shot of the chassis through the windshield area. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1452987810.792435.jpg

  28. Couldn't find a rear sump oil pan that I liked so I decided to just make one. Had the flange water jet. Then made the rest out of .080 aluminum. I didn't want it to look like a squared fabricated pan so I rounded all the edges. I bout rounding dies for my bead roller but they don't work rite on my bead roller so I had to hammer the sides out the old fashion way hammer and dolly. Came out better than I thought now I just gave to make a baffle in the bottom and put a drain plug in it.
