Of course I know that many production engines could be taken larger than that 402 SBC based on a 283, but I guess I had a different take on the original post. Can any engine that was only bored and stroked beat the 119 cu in increase of that 283? I did a HAMB search and found a post by @Beep about taking a 430 MEL to 508, but also, by using Hard Block and going .250 over you could get 588 inches. That's a 158 cu in increase but it took Hard Block to do it.
