Not sure what diameter clutch you have, if it's a 10" unit you could update to a Diaphragm style PP out of a 6 cylinder Ford Falcon. That's what I'm going to use for my T5 / Flathead conversion ..... keeps clutch consumables readily available ..... EXEDY have performance versions available too.
10-1/2" and 11" diaphragm PP's are readily available for GM flywheels.

The Borg & Beck division of Borg-Warner stopped manufacturing pressure plates decades ago, the rights to the name were sold to a British firm and later sold to First Line Ltd. Any guesses where F-L sources their parts?
Any p/p’s sold as Borg & Beck are actually Borg & Beck style and I’d bet those not made by Ram, or another respectable clutch manufacturer are made overseas. Buy one at the local auto parts store and you take your chances.

Update - I installed everything back in after adjusting out the pressure plate fingers and took it for a run for about an hour on the freeway and around town and it seems as though the issue is fixed. I'll drive it a bit more over the next few days just to make sure but at this stage it seems good to go. I have plenty of adjustment on the clevis rod in either direction and the throw out bearing has about 3mm or 1/8 of travel before contacting the pressure plate fingers.
Thanks fellow Hambers for the support and suggestions, this forum really is a wealth of knowledge.

Well done! Your perseverance paid off!
The aggravating thing is that you had to fix something that was new and shouldn’t need “fixing”
