Anybody found any gear sources for Borg Warner T-5 (used or replacement) at prices ordinary humans can afford? This World Cl*** T-5 out of a 88 Safari was gonna go behind my Flatty, but upon inspection, we found chips in the input shaft gear and the cluster. Checking the commercial sources on the Internet was pretty discouraging. Very pricey, if available at all.

'Hate to see this WC ****** end up as a door stop. At least the tailshaft can be salvaged to go behind a Camaro or Mustange T-5 to get the shifter location ahead of the Model A coupe bench seat. But, what a waste...

Check the late model Mustang magazines. The racers tear those transmissions up with shocking regularity, and several vendors have repair/rebuild parts for this market. 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords, or Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords should do it.

What Animal said - also check www.corral.net or www.saleen.com - they both used to have online cl***ifieds that were pretty comprehensive. I haven't visited either site in years.

The Ford Mustang folks are the place to get the stuff though...

If you do end up just making it a doorstop, keep the top cover along with the tailshaft for that nice Mustang/Camaro conversion....you'll need it.
