    Gentlemen,
I have a 3.4 GM V6 with a Borg Warner T5 from a 87' S10. I believe it's a bushing rather than bearing transmission with about 150,000 miles. It feels to have developed a vibrating "shudder" accelerating in 2nd and 3rd gear. 4th and 5th seam vibration free. I have never seen any color or metal chip in the drain oil and it makes no audible unusual sounds. There is no discernible play in the output shaft or leaks. I've never had the transmission apart so other than parts "exploded" views, I have no idea what may be happening. Any ideas? Thanks!

IIRC, those use a tapered roller bearing on the input shaft. Bad bearing or wrong shim used for clearance will make them shudder.
