May have posted here about this before. Basically I’ve got a ‘49 Studebaker 2R17 that runs and drives, but it has a horrid fully unsynchronized transmission. I think a Borg Warner T9. I know some different families of Borg Warner transmission have the same bolt pattern to swap out the bellhousings. Does anybody know what other transmissions would swap places with a T9?

You want the later Borg-Warner T98. It's as good as the T9 is bad. You'll love it. Studebaker switched over to the T98 in the early 1950s. Just make sure you get the one which matches your engine as there's the Champion small six, Commander big 6 and the V8. IIRC, they all have the same bolt pattern, but different input shafts.
