This summer has been especially brutal. We are at day 20-something consecutive days over 100, which is almost normal. What isn't normal is that in Austin, we've had 3.2 inches of rain since November. Overnight lows are still in the 80s, maybe upper 70s. The State power grid has set record demands the last 3 days, and there are warnings of rolling brownouts. The state climatologist announced yesterday that this is the worst one-year drought ever recorded in TX. 94% of the counties in TX are experiencing 'exceptional' drought. It's a very tough year. And Ryan, I'm sorry the servers are piling-on. Thanks for all you do.
Dial-up's finally got me here,,waddimiss? I thought I felt the planet stop for a second there. Thanks for saving so many of us.
Don't forget to check the oil; I've heard that the reduced zinc levels in today's oil can cause premature wear on older servers.
I pulled an all-nighter as it was putting my brothers merc back together. Got it done and shes on the road!
My God I thought might have been the end of Drag Cars In Motion!! Thanks to Ryan & all the good folks that keep this thing lit,,, And btw,,are the servers made in Camada? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=584880&highlight=camada
****s being house-bound after surgery and no H.A.M.B. good thing I had a bunch of cheesy biker movies on Netflix streaming.
"10 hours"? No complaints here.....that was well worth it.. The average shutdown time spent to retool an auto manufacturing plant here is 2 weeks!!
I thought the whole internet was down for a while till I remembered there are other web sites out there!
Sure I missed everyone, but I'm clueless as to how this all works behind the green curtain, just happy Ryan fixed whatever needed fixing and got the Magic of the HAMB rolling again.
If it goes down again, the server will probably buff out - if not dryer sheets will fix it. Thanks Chief for working tirelessly to keep this bunch of hoodlums happy....
sadly the other sites i go to didnt change during the time the hamb was down..in fact the threads are still in the same post count
I second that emotion !!!! Just don't let it stress you out,Ryan. I for one can drink cold beer until the HAMB comes back up. I just hope it doesn't take too long. The old lady gets pissy when I'm drunk. (or is it the other way around?)
What's a Social Distortion? Thanks for fixing the social distortion that is the HAMB, hard to do without even for a few hours!
