When you get a set of rules together could you please post them here.

It sounds like you have a good thing going on there.

Could you pm me some directions. Have a long term FED/Comp roadster project on the back burner. Looks like ch***is repair/replacement is inevitable. Would like to check out the shop and projects, plus hear more info on the cl***.

    Hey Rustyford40,
swing by he shop sunday and take a look at these cars, it would be pretty awesome to run one with a flathead. With the 7.5 second index, you wouldn't be at a disadvantage. I'm just building mine to do 1/8th mile burnouts! I hope Marty goes easy on me with the price of tires...lol!

    Jeff,
the 7.5 is something that we are going to try out. We are all running basically stock motors or maybe a little better. He could put a throttle stop in to limit the speed. If we do well at 7.5, we may be able to get the et lowered but, this is a new cl*** and with the old ch***is, we want to have fun and be safe. We are working with the track to make sure we have fun and be safe.

    2nd Chance,
We can get a ch***is together for you and it would look great behind your 34. I'm going to be hauling mine behind my 40 willys pick up. The fully welded TE-440 ch***is which is like the one Joe has(the ch***is has been finished since the pics that were posted) is only $1100 fully tig welded. If interested, PM me directly.

  12. Very cool. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

yes, well almost. It will have a 7.5 index most likely, you need a clutch, max 10.5" tire and look the part. We are still working with New England, Winterport, and Oxford but everyone is on board.

    yeah, me too

I've got a front axle, Y-block, 9 inch, and some slicks...****...

now to read a bit about the 2 speed manual transmissions...anybody steer me in the right direction?

Also, I know this is the wrong place to ask, and to asnwer my onw question "If you have to ask HOW MUCH, you can't afford it" BUT...how much is a frame going for these days? I've been searching, and have seen frame go for about $11K, but, they are NHRA legal...

Looks good brad, little wing he has the plans of original TE-440 I opted out of the single main rails and changed up around and behind the drivers area. It is changed quite a bit from the original design.

Thanks Joe, I cant wait to see what you do with it.
Little Wing, I can fabricate an original styled frame and I do plan to do it in the next couple months or so, Unless I get an order for one. Lets get rustyford40 to build an original style one and stick his flatty n there. Now that would be awesome.
Slepe67, The ch***is I'm building, they wont let you run without some updates. we are lucky enough to be able to talk to the tracks here and have them listen to us. We asked if we could run these old style ch***is 1/8th mile and they agreed that it would keep these cars at a safe speed for the ch***is. My base TE-440 ch***is starts @ $1100. I can update the ch***is.

You should get this going at your local tracks as well, this would be a fun nationwide deal. There are a lot of guys building their own ch***is that will be running soon, some have reworked older cars and some built brand new. Looks like that ch***is would fit right in.
