    Aha! That is good, the pre '66 heads are better pieces than almost all of the later ones.

    By golly you're right, the 352's were blue. I always thought all of the big blocks were gold, time to go correct...

    Uhmm, Anthony;
    Resist the growing urge to "Freight Train" or "Odd Couple" this merc. Just because you can, doesn't mean... :D .
    Resist, I say.

    Dodge flat six fly wheel and 55 56 dodge plymouth bellhousing on a short block hemi would get you into 3 pedals. But we did put a 428fe with a remote oil filter in my brothers 50 merc .

  10. Well, here’s the setup I have that came with the engine.

  11. Quite okay. in 1964 I believe the 390 was blue... I could be wrong. My aunt had a 1965 LTD, the 352 in that had gold valve covers.

  12. I like a 352, I have had a few, even the oil belching ones ran really well.

    Anthony;
    Since you have shown multiple engines sitting around that need using to clear-up floor space, hemi, fBB, csb, ford flattie, I was suggesting resisting the urge to use 2 inline.
    The reference was to 2-inline-engined TopGas dragsters idea; twin hemis, twin sbc, & the Odd Couple was a hemi & sbc. Went like hell. Bad reference, I guess. Since it is a 4dr, you could drive it from the back seat, but that'd cut into your friends-hauling. ;( . Sorry, Forget I mentioned it, ;( .

    No question, put the Hemi in it. Nothing much more impressive then a big old Chrysler Hemi.
    Been running one in a Model A for over 30 years, not one problem ever!
    Have fun and enjoy your project.

    If the long term plan is the 331, then go with the easiest, least expensive route to put the car on the highways.
    Or I can make ya a deal on an LSx;). Lol!

    I got the strangest look from a guy when I told him I don’t need a bunch of HP to be cool.

  28. 283, 284, whatever it takes (Mr. Mom :D:D:D).

  29. Got the front seat out. Started cleaning up the mess.
    The insulation was wet under the old floor mat that was under the carpet. It’s been in the dry for at least a month. No wonder these things rotted out.
