Bought this very unique 30s grill shell yesterday just to hang on the wall in my shop. It took me over an hour to research what it is but I finally did. This came off a 1936 "Flying 12" that was built in the UK by a car company called Standard Motor Company. The grill was originally chrome plated. The cars were 4 cylinders and were made from 1933-1937. Flyer 12 grill.PNG

The Standard Motor Company later acquired the bankrupt Triumph brand which it ran in tandem before ventually branding all products as Triumph. US readers will undoubtedly be more familiar with Triumph, particularly the sports cars of the 50's and 60's.

Other than a neat wall-hanger, I don't know how you would use it; it's kind of an odd shape.
