Long time reader of the forum, joined in March...finally saying hello. As you might guess, I'm an old fart...but not dun yet. Retired and doing what I love the most...playin' with old cars. Don't know if I will be able to contribute much...but have found this forum to be a bottomless pit of really good stuff. Look for many questions. As you can see by my Avatar, I'm in the process of completing my '47. Jackandueces in Hampton just punched a mess of louvres in the hood. I hope to paint it this fall. Other cars include a '29 Ford Sedan (wife's car) and a '54 Ford Customline 2 door (for sale). Re the thread on garages, or the lack thereof...my 'garage mahal' is currently a car and a half garage that I've built four hot rods in...a '32 coupe, a '55 Chevy truck, the '47, and a 'remake' of the '29 Sedan (makin it mine). Not much, but I'm happy with it and grateful for what I have... Re the thread talking about Allen 'Flatlanders' Thornton, my '32 was his body and I got all the makings through him. I did not have a bad experience working with him, although I did redo some of the work his shop did (not bad...just not what I wanted). Nuff chatter...glad to be here...and look for many questions...gearhead12
