I'll be there again. My dad and I go for Father's Day. I'm flying into Nashville to meet him then riding up. This will be our third time and we always have a blast! Can't wait!!

Isn't it funny how different folks feel differently about certain things. If they moved it I wouldn't attend at a different venue that's how much I love Beech Bend.

It rained last year on Saturday so there is no way you can compare the change yet. In the past Sunday was like a ghost town so the comparsion will be Thursday comparing to Sunday.

Missed last year after my racing buddy p***ed away. We used to take a motor home and stay from tuesday thur sunday. Lots of great things to see and people to shoot the bull with. Only one I have missed in the last several years except for the one they had up north, glad they moved it back to Beach Bend. A few HAMB compatable photos from '05

gasman, I'm from Blairsville. Do you ever go over to Paradise in Calhoun? We run over there now and then. There is a "block party" at Walmart here in Blairsville on the first Fri. night each month and a cruise-in on the town square on the (I think, they just changed it) third Saturday night, come on up and see us.

I went the very first year and I've been trying to get back ever since, but one thing or the other always got in the way. Can't believe 10 years have gone by already! This year my oldest son and I, along with a bunch of buddies will be making the trip back down. Hotel is booked, car is almost ready....:)

I liked that schedule better too. The way its set up now we still drive home Sunday but have to get there a day earlier. I expect it'll make a better spectator show Thu-Sat though.

Ha..I'd like to someday, maybe in a different car. For now I'll leave nitro to those smarter than me.

We shouldn't be hard to find. It'll be good to see you again.

Will be there as a spectator, dragster project hit some snags. Drove 12 hours last year to watch the racing (rusty ford coupe with the home made zoomies stole the show). Top notch cars in the car show and very nice people through out.

He must have grown a bunch, wasn't that shirt way too big for him then? I think we're throwing can coozies this year though. They cost less so we can toss more of them.

  24. Yup!

Me and a whole lotta other racers. The track posted on their website that there was going to be fuel available. I and I'm sure many others that race feel that when you go to a track or especially an event to "race" that there will be "race fuel" available.

This was not my first rodeo or my first time at the Reunion and I've never taken fuel with me to an event out of state.

Although I think this is a good event as a "spectator" it ****ed as a compe***or. Even the NHRA staff was perturbed. I had a much better time when it was in Columbus, OH and I'm sure that there are other tracks, like Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, that would welcome an event like this more than Dallas Jones.

To those that think Bowling Green is great, obviously you're there to party and that's fine. Like I said, as a spectator it's a good time. But as a compe***or, there are much better places, and I'm not just referring to the fuel situation. Talk to those that were in the "swamp lands" called "the pits"!

As a race spectator I am there to watch vintage race cars under cover of shade in some very cool stands that are located just FEET away from the cars going down the dragstrip along with having a wonderful gr*** area to park my car and some shade trees to sit under when I'm not watching the racing. Yeah, I guess Beech Bend Raceway ****s  :D
