Event Coverage Bowling Green 2021 pictures

Fran Bannister's coupe had 9,142 plus miles on it when I drove up to Reading. Mass in a snow storm on January 2, to look at it more than 40 years ago. Fran didn't want to sell it as he was saving it for his gran-daughter. When Fran passed away several years ago his gran-daughter wasn't interested in the car. From what I heard Gene Mckinney sold the car for her. The car went through a few owners, Steve O'neil being one of them. Fran's Willys was the same color, that is why I thought that it might be Fran's coupe. Fran and his brother were old time drag racers from Mass. Paul Aldrich restored their original supercharged flat head dragster. Larry Hook from Rhode Island has Fran's old 1932 Ford roadster.

That coupe is now in Minnesota. Ken Patterson from Muscle Shoals, Alabama bought it from Massachusetts then sold it to Steve. Steve then sold it to Dave W in California. Dave W recently sold it to Dave K in Minnesota. It was at the Back to the 50's last weekend. I believe it has 12K miles on it now
