BG Ruled, had at least 30 Hambers there and almost all of us met each other at one or another of the meet and greets. Here's a shot from the 8:00 meeting at the old Kroger parking lot.

    Bunch of freaking Hoodlums.

Here's another shot of us hanging out at the HAMB headquarters around earl schieb's truck with an unlimited supply of beer.

  5. Great show!!!!! I had a blast. I could'nt belive how many HAMBers there were there.A lot of cars and a lot of people. The cackle fest was a let down this year though. It was really cool last year but they did it a little different this time. That is the longest distance I have ever driven by myself. I put over 1100 miles on my car.Next year I hope it's in the Olds instead.I stoped at Kustombuilder and Cherryblossoms on the way back home and dropped of some stuff so I did'nt get home until about 11:30 pm Michigan time. I left BG about 2:00 Michigan time.I want to thank***** Renyolds again for leting me crash at his house and Hotrodladycruiser for the weekend pass, you guys saved me a bunch of $$$ .I should have a bunch of pics to post in a few days. Don't know if this is the original car, cause I've never seen a color photo of the original car but for those of us who know what/who it is, It was cool pretty cool to see it driving around.

  9. Looks like you people had way too much fun!Wish I could've got away to go.BTW thanks for posting the pic of the Speed Sport roadster;my all-time favorite drag car.Did they run it or was a static display? That car made the most insane sound I've ever heard!Saw him run at Sanford Maine in 1959 and he was turning 160's with it then!

Hi Ray, I only saw them run it during the cacklefest and they also had a modern version with the same exhaust setup.

Had a great time at Bowling Green again and meeting lots of HAMBERS at Krogers and at the show plus everyone I had met at the LONESTAR ROUNDUP that showed up. One of my highlights was watching how tickled Cusin Earl Schieb was during the cacklefest another was taking Daisy my 4 year old to the water park and pushing her around at the show in her 36 Ford stroller complete with WWW, tuck and roll and Duvall windshield.
Greg and Sparky the GM Saginaw show in Decatur, AL is Saturday July 10th. 900 cars last year and giving a finished 42 Ford tudor sedan + 2 motors.

The hair was standin up on my arms [IMG] All that stuff I'd idolized as a kid, out there fartin and poppin, flames shootin two feet outta the zoomies---geez, I don't REMEMBER steppin into that time machine [IMG]
And I enjoyed watching Daisy----you got your hands full, bro. [IMG] [IMG]

Really good gettin to hang with all you folks.Funny thing....all that beer I brought, and I had some left over [IMG] Am I the only drunk hoodlum of the bunch, or was it because I didn't bring PBR?

    Anybody else got pics? [IMG]

It was great to meet you guys. Sorry again for not making the meet and greet. Maybe things will work out better next time. Who would have thought Smokey bones would have such lousy service. I will have pictures posted on fotki.com for anybody who's interested. Just type Butch Pate into the search engine and it will take you to my photo albums. I've tried to post some on here but every time I try to get more than two pics on, I get an error message. My digital shots will be posted this weekend and my slides and regular photos will be scanned and posted next weekend. I was really impressed that Earl remembered my name. You guys are a blast.....is this HAMB Heaven??? [IMG]
