Boyd does it again

Anybody see Blounder Coddinghams show last night? Not only is he loosing his CNC programmer (who's going to Foose), he bad mouthed Circle City Hot Rods. And who showed up to pick up Mike (programmer) when Boyd kicked him out? Blue Bear from Circle City. Nice.

If we could only hook up Boyd and Ass Monkey Garage we might have something...

 

I just wonder when Mikes time for a civil suite ran out for his fucked up face due to Boyds son probably the day prior to the Foose excuse .After watching that show a few times its a wonder the whole crew isnt working for Foose that place would suck to work at

 

i watched alot of those shows when i was in the hospital...i think it prolonged my stay.

 

Went to an open house 10 yrs. back, before his bankruptcy..... The his ego just oozed from the place ..... couldn't happen to a nicer guy !

 

Yeah, Boyd took Mike in when he came out west with his Mom...wanting to meet Boyd and telling him how much he wanted to work for him. Boyd gives him a job, stands by him like family after his near fatal accident...and Mike decides it's okay to fuck off on his obligations to Boyd's shop while moonlighting for Shit Foose behind his boss's back.

And BOYD is the bad guy here???

Give me a break! I'd be proud to work for someone who's been in the hobby so long and regards his employees as family...he knows them by name, knows their families and though he ain't perfect, I respect the man completely.

 

But TV makes you famous.........

Look what it did for Jesse James..........he married that Sandra B girl.....and if he was not on TV.......she would not have given him the time of time......Course...Julia Roberts married that ugly country hick singer.....Lyle something...or other

 

Hmmmmm, let's count Bloyds losses:

1. Jesse James (owns multi-million dollar company)
2. Chip Foose (owns multi-million dollar company)
3. Jimmy White (owns a shop where REAL Hot Rods are built)
4. Blue Bear (whatever his name is). (works for above)
5. Charlie (painter that went to Foose). (Foose Designs)
6. Mike (CNC guy from last night.) (Foose Designs)


"Nepolion" (sp?) that "runs" the shop at Boyds even said on National TV, "it's like he's (Foose) is taking them one by one." Awsome testiment to Boyds ability to keep good employees.

 

Yea, I guess your right. Boyds must be a great guy. After all, he keeps a great crew for years working at his place.

 

Dude you made me spit coke all over my monitor, you can't be serious? Do you not see the way he treats his employees. And dipshit Duane doesn't help. I would've beat the fuck out of Duane in the 1st couple of days... There is no excuse for his attitude. Also notice he thinks he knows better than his customers, especially when he's supposed to be restoring a historical car... The guy is bullshit...

I just couldn't believe he ACTUALLY commented about (on national TV) that "shit they build over at Circle City."

 

I wasnt aware that boyd made motorcycle wheels so how was that hurting him its his free time, but he was probably doing it on boyds clock though.

Ok, I wasn't aware that this was a forbidden thread. Have I made a faux pa? If so, sorry. But when a national TV show badmouths a "local shop" like Circle City, I thought the rest of the Hot Rod world should know.

 

Its not a written rule but it it is highly frowned upon by the big cheese. If you follow this one up with a post about rat rods and Ol Skool Rodz you'll be the biggest thing since sliced bread.

and has gone on in the past.So we only see what the producers
want us to see,and they have their own agendas.

alright so ill side with hack...and even more so if it was on boyds clock.

you cant tell me that if the guy that is a huge part of designing your signiture product. knowing full and well your way hate for a certain competitor. was designing the same thing for him.

if he was designing wheels for boyd and lets say graphics for foose on his free time i can see that being alright. but wheels and wheels AND he knows byod hates foose.

i mean if you hate him so much and want to work for some one else thats even offering you a job, then do it. just straight out quick. done deal no drama. that sneakin around bull shit aint gona fly and he knew it.

if boyds a prick then quit, if you fuck around behind my back your getting canned.


edit: i also think theres a difference between helping out another shop and helping out a shop that you know your "team" is competing against. if its something youd even think about hiding you know it aint right.

Missed the first 15 minutes. Noticed Al was back. He has been with Boyd, off and on, since the shop behind the house. If he was the shop foreman things would get done on time and right. And the cussing would be out the window to. There goes your soap opera.

Ok ok, so back the the (somewhat) origal point I was trying to put across. A small shop in a big sea of builder (Circle City in Ca.) was bad mouthed on national TV by a guy who DOESN'T worry about money (Boyd). Boyd could care less that he was putting down a shop that can't on a $100,000.00 per car level compet with him. That was wrong. No matter how competetive Boyd is with Foose, putting down Circle City was fucked up. So what, is Boyd competing with everyone? I'd be pretty pissed if that had be my shop Boyd was talking about. Or I could be glad that my name got out at all on national TV.

 

Mike has to wait for a ride from blue bear in his beat down s10 Mikes face is fucked up and he cant even afford a car LOL Boyd really took care of him ...The painter lived away from his wife for 2 yrs Boyd took care of him too.. What a great boss he reminds me off the Golden State Warriors

 

No such thing as bad publicity, Bro...and having Boyd slam your shop on TV is like having Weird Al do a parody of a song you wrote...it'll shoot you straight to Hero status worldwide!!!

It's all intertainment, but I think the shop ownership/TV show jealousy is a REAL DEAL. You all know that the big mouth at OCC got Southern Steel canned.

I'm sure Boyd was paying him well enough to afford a car, and you can bet it cost your buddy Boyd a pretty penny to get Al back again, so I don't think Boyd is as cheap as you may believe.

Besides...look at the 'talent' in that place...a couple good guys babysitting a bunch of young dudes getting PAID to LEARN the trade in a bona-fide hot rod shop! Of course you're not gonna pay them kids a king's ransom...but they'll learn a fortune if they're smart enough to pay attention and work at it!

Is Boyd hiring? Where do I send MY application???

 

If that is in fact true it would be interesting to know who is teaching these guys. I haven't seen any hands on explanation of how things get done.

 

yeah i thought it was weird that he had to get a ride too but thenb i thought about him being into the whole rat rod thing and got to thinkin that maybe his car was broken so dwayne and roy are the only original emploies from the first episode.... and that circle city comment was bellow the belt
